Investments which are by their nature readily realisable and are intended to be held for not more than one year from the date on which such investment is made.

Recognition Criteria

Recognized under AS 13 when the trade/ownership is finalized, establishing ownership of marketable securities.

Measurement Principles

Carried at lower of cost and fair value (determined either on an individual investment basis or by category of investment, but not in aggregate).
